We were sad that we had to stay only one night! Positive: Nice and cozy and clean 😁 Negative: Nothing ! So beautiful house

Negative: No vege peeler, kitchen drawers that would not shut. Needed paper towel.

Lovely place to start & end a day. Positive: The location is excellent, which is our #1 reason for returning to River View Retreat this year. It is close to the river, with it's wonderful walk, which we enjoyed making the most of. The accom is clean & comfy. I absolutely love having breakfast on the deck listening to the tuis. The bathroom is lovely. We valued the washing & drying facilities. Access & communication is easy. The Kosh rep was excellent at responding when we had questions. Negative: We didnt like (or need) the abundance of sensor lights & turned off whatever we could. Nor did we like that the heating was on some sort of automated programme.( We complained about this last year). I think guests should be able to choose if or when they want heating, not have to put up with it randomly coming on when it's programmed to. Even when we switched it off it would come back on within minutes. We found ourselves sweltering in bed under the first duvet so took it off & replaced it with the one that had more natural fibres. We were grateful there was an option. We did have trouble with the 'self closing' kitchen drawers & a couple of techology issues. BUT....these are minor issues, which we mostly laughed about. They would NOT stop us from booking this accomodation again.
